Divorces or break ups can be messy and an emotional time in everyone's life. They can take a toll on the children the most. When children are involved in a divorce, the parents sometimes tend to be more selfish and try to keep the other person from seeing the children on a fair and equal basis. Once a judge has signed off on the divorce it is in each parties best interest to follow the schedule. Having a visitation schedule works because each party follows the order. What ends up happening in some cases is if the one ex has a new boyfriend or girlfriend sometime child visitation becomes altered, as we mentioned before if the party ordered to pay support falls behind , child visitation is withheld.
Avoid this at all costs, if child visitation is withheld the ex can go to family court and a judge could order you to stick to the visitation order and in some cases sometimes the order is changed and even custody can change. Do what is best for the kids and that is to have both of their parents in their lives. It will create less drama and less problems if everyone can work together.
